Let’s go to Lyon to admire Notre-Dame de Fourvière in this original work by Lotza. Built between 1872 and 1884, the neo-Gothic and neo-Byzantine Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica dominates the city of Lyon from the top of the Fourvière hill. In the 17th century, Lyon had to face a plague epidemic. Processions of priests and faithful organized themselves on the hill to ask the Virgin to stop the epidemic.
