The Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is a French theater located in the city of Bordeaux, in Aquitaine, France. It was built between 1773 and 1780 under the direction of architect Victor Louis, and is considered one of the finest examples of neoclassical architecture in France.
The Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux was designed to host the city’s operas, ballets and symphony concerts. It is considered a masterpiece of neoclassical architecture, with Corinthian columns, friezes, metopes and other decorative elements typical of this architectural style.

The theater has undergone many changes over the years, including a major restoration in the 1990s to restore its interior to its original appearance. Today, the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is considered one of the city’s greatest cultural centers, hosting ballet, opera, symphony concerts and other cultural events throughout the year.
The Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is considered an architectural jewel of the city, and attracts thousands of tourists and visitors every year. It has been classified as a historical monument since 1962, making it one of the most protected and valuable buildings in the city, as well as The Place de la Bourse.
