Postcard Saint-Jean d’Angely
2,50€
Let’s go to Saint-Jean d’Angely and walk around this original work signed by Lotza. You will notice the half-timbered houses in the old center, the Clock Tower, the Fountain of the Pilori as well as the private mansions built by the old merchant families. Here, the unfinished abbey church. Its construction began in 1741 according to a project by the architect François Franque. Due to a lack of funds, its construction will remain unfinished and only the two towers and the huge facade of classical order, close to the Royal Abbey, will remain.
